The short version

  • The tools, games and workbook are free to use for your own work and your team’s.
  • The content is Maury Rogow’s. Share links freely; don’t republish or resell it.
  • Whatever you write in the Deal Workbook is yours.
  • It’s practical advice, not a guarantee. Results depend on you, your market and your buyers.

These terms apply to your use of whybuyerssayno.com and everything on it, including the Toolkit, the Deal Workbook and the free Deal Playbook (together, the “site”). The site is run by Maury Rogow (“we,” “us”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Using the site

You may use the site, its tools and the Deal Playbook for your own professional development and inside your own company or team. Please don’t misuse it: no attempts to break or overload the site, no scraping or bulk copying, no automated or fake form submissions, and nothing unlawful.

2. Our content

The text, frameworks, worksheets, games, graphics, the Deal Playbook and the design of the site are owned by Maury Rogow and protected by copyright and other laws. You’re welcome to link to any page and to share the site with colleagues. You may print the Deal Playbook and worksheets for your own use or your team’s. You may not republish, sell, or repackage our content (for example, in a course, a paid product, or another website), or present it as your own, without written permission.

Why Buyers Say No and the names of Maury Rogow’s frameworks are used to identify his work. Other frameworks discussed on the site (such as MEDDPICC, BANT, SPIN or the Challenger Sale) belong to their respective owners and are referenced for education and commentary.

3. Your content

What you write in the Deal Workbook is yours. It’s stored in your own browser, not on our servers. If you send us content (for example, a pitch for a Pitch Teardown), you keep ownership and give us permission to use it to provide the service you asked for. We won’t publish your pitch or identify you publicly without your permission.

4. Buying the book

Book purchases happen on Amazon, under Amazon’s terms. Prices and availability are set there and can change.

5. Calls and services

A Pitch Teardown or other call is offered as is, subject to availability, and may be rescheduled or declined. Any paid engagement would be covered by a separate written agreement.

6. No guarantees

The site offers educational content and opinions based on Maury Rogow’s experience. It isn’t legal, financial or other professional advice. Examples and client results are real but not typical or guaranteed; your results depend on many factors outside our control. The site and its tools are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, and we may change or remove any part of them at any time.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim related to the site is limited to $100.

8. Other websites

Links to Amazon, LinkedIn, Google and other sites are provided for convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or practices.

9. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
